Hi Mark,

   Yes, this is something we've discussed in the past. (If I remember
correctly, there have been issues with database locking, vacuum runtime,
and disk space requirements for a full vacuum.) But clearly it's something
that needs further investigation. I've filed two new bugs to track these
items:
