spaces vs fabrics

Regarding the first question, the documentation on this is at
https://docs.ubuntu.com/maas/2.1/en/intro-concepts

As for the second, you can modify the interface configuration of the
commissioned node. Click on edit next to the interface then change it from
disconnected, to the fabric you want to put it on (which should be the
fabric that contains the subnet you want to put it on), then select the
subnet and finally the IP mode. I'm not sure there's any way in the UI of
doing this 'en-MAAS' (did I really just make that joke??) but you can
certainly script it with the CLI using the Interface endpoints link_subnet
operation
