Here's the logs of the catch up with the Community Council (note, this
includes the WHOLE meeting and starts with MATE):
* in [colorific form][1] but continues on past the end of the meeting
* in [meetingology text form][2], including meeting summaries and such

If you guys have been paying attention here, there should be no surprises.
Some unique ideas that are perhaps on the horizon, though:
* it was suggested that the boss look into using Ubuntu Core Apps for LXQt
since they supposedly have removed the Unity dependency? more research
needs to be done
* it was suggested that we invite the Lubuntu Team to do a Community Q&A
session, which is a very visible Ubuntu On Air session. time is a bit rough
for me, but i'm going to see what I can do to make it happen. unless
someone else wants to head it up? Tuesday 1500 UTC.
This is great!
I had hoped LXQt would end up using some of the Ubuntu core apps, as
that will provide more incentive for us Lubuntu fans to perhaps make
Ubuntu apps (for Lubuntu)!
This gives me more incentive to learn Qt.

P.S. for all you Education people, homeschoolers, and parents
GCompris is also using Qt in the newest version

I am really looking forward to trying LXQt again, it has been a loooong
while since I had tested it last. I am sure it is even more exciting
that when it first came out!
Please help!

An exclamation mark suddenly appeared on my taskbar next to the network
indicator, and on clicking it I received the following:

'An error occurred, please run Package Manager from the right-click menu or
apt-get in a terminal to see what is wrong.
The error message was: 'Error: Opening the cache (E: encountered a section
with no Package: header, E: Problem with
Mergelist / var/lib/apt/lists... installed packages have unmet
dependencies.'

Synaptic won't open, stating a similar error.

Any idea how to recover the system?
Try opening up a terminal and entering
sudo apt-get update
Does it fix it ?
If not try moving /renaming the file that is mentioned in the error
report (the /var/lib/apt/lists/ one) and executing
sudo apt-get update
again.
This should fix it.

Basically the list locally stored informing which apps are available on
the repo is corrupted for some reason.

Hope that helps :)

Greetings
