      doesn't build desktop-items-0.conf from any files installed by
      pcmanfm or lubuntu-default-settings, and the default settings are
      used (not copied or otherwise propagated into the user profile) if

              I want to make those settings the global default for new

              Searching for the default sources from which
              desktop-items-0.conf is created, I found these candidates
              in the Installed Files of the lubuntu-default-settings
              package:<br>

              /etc/xdg/lubuntu/libfm/libfm.conf<br>
              /etc/xdg/pcmanfm/lubuntu/pcmanfm.conf<br>
              /usr/share/lubuntu/pcmanfm/main.lubuntu<br>
              <br>
              I tried each of those, adding the lines to the [desktop]
              section, but none of those tests yielded the desired
              results.<br>
              <br>
              I'm sure /etc/skel would be a way to do this, but as I've
              been learning about global configurations I've been using
              the as-designed mechanisms whenever possible.<br>
