I think I missed this thread somehow. We are still unable to get TuxPaint to print in the computer lab. All our printers are network printers such as the Lexmark MS810 dn. I read somewhere that I needed to install LPR so I did that. Once that was installed the error message was gone in TuxPaint but still there is no output to the printer. There is only one printer installed so it is the default but when I open the print queue there is nothing there. Printing works fine with every other application such as LibreOffice. I have tried in three different labs and get the same result each time. I even contacted Bill Kendricks the creator of Tux Paint and so far he responded once saying that i should get a print dialogue box when I hold down ALT and click the print button but this is not the case. We have converted part of their computer lab to Lubuntu 14.4 and the teachers are unable to print the pictures that the students had created. The error message they get is simply “ sorry your picture can not be printed”. There does not seem to be any way to configure the printing with TuxPaint. I found out that I can install a tuxpaint config application that allows you to use an alternative print command instead of “LPR” which I believe is the default in Tuxpaint.
