One of the big improvements of Lubuntu 14.04, is that the problems
with the Software Updater (Menu...SystemTools...SoftwareUpdater)
have finally been fixed. <br>

It is no longer necessary to resort to using a terminal session to
do this, even on slow (450 megahertz) machines. <br>
