Ok folks, I'm playing a bit with others docks to see if a can recreate a good OSX environment without composite manager. I have tested Docky, Simdock and Plank. I think the last one should be the better choice because Is simple to configure via conf files, even without composite is usable and has a minimum impact, 15 mb more-less. Add launcher is quite easy too. Not have a CM means we will not have shadows or transparencies but the system will be more snappy. Note that the CPU usage is not 35% as in the screenshot but just 3%. Bad timing! What do you think?
