13.04 is not stable too. Sometimes it breaks manu-cache, and the
"start" menu gets hidden (I use the panel on the left). The transparency
and shadows sometimes goes to lxpanel too... My configs for that matter
are: "compton -i 0.6 -e 0.6 -f -I 0.065 -O 0.065 -D 6 -m 0.9 -G -b"<br>

<p dir="ltr">I understand you don't like to add an additional layer but composting is what we need for shadows and transparency. If we will not add them... Any basic dock is OK. Just remember the result will be less eye candy. :) </p>
