These were my criteria for web browsing. They might be subjective, but I figured if I could do all 6 things without the browser crashing, it would be okay for typical home use.<br><br>1. Visit Gmail, check mail, reply to an email, search for an email.<br>
2. Visit Facebook. Like a post. Share a post. Reply to a post. Upload a photo.<br>3. Visit Craigslist. Search for an automobile with pics. Respond to an ad.<br>4. Visit Youtube. Watch a full episode of "Whose Line is it Anyway?" in 240p and 360p.<br>
5. Visit Amazon. Search for a computer accessory. Get to final purchase window.<br>6. Visit Internet Archive. Search for a classic TV show. Download show. View in MPlayer..<br><br>From a PPC perspective, so far, Firefox has been the only browser to have any real stability. Chromium and Chrome aren't available for PPC, and xombrero 1.4 kept crashing on every site but Craigslist. Flash isn't available for PPC, but Gnash is, and Youtube videos at 240p stream acceptably well--360p do not.<br>
<br>Midori is available for PPC, but it would crash every time with Gmail and Facebook. <br>
