</div>You're fine. If there is an issue you will see it right away, either<br>
during the install or at first boot after the install.<br>

Your approach probably works fine too, I've just never done it that way.<br>

My suggested approach leaves the screensaver configuration set exactly<br>
the way it was -- it just kills any currently running screensaver<br>
processes so they can't get in the way during the installation. To me,<br>
that's easier than (1) change the config; (2) complete install; (3)<br>
remember what the old settings were, so you can (4) change the config<br>
back again later.<br>
