IMHO, I do happen to think the discussion over top-posting/bottom-posting/left-side-posting/right-side-posting is really not needed, and the people who bring this up have too much time on their hands. Really? Do we need to be worrying so much about where the email goes, when iOS, Gmail, and a few other email providers top-post by default.
