You need to read these: http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=11882333&postcount=518 http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=11890328&postcount=524 I'll grant you that those "Pure LXDE" scripts are dealing with going the other direction but if you don't believe me please install Ubuntu and then try converting it to Lubuntu following only that one line script. I haven't tried it yet but I'd fully expect the kernel to either convert from non-pae to pae or fail altogether (likely not the latter since they install 'ubuntu-minimal') but it would break boot for those with a non-pae machine. I'd also expect an X freeze because the lightdm greeter was not properly changed, and less importantly the plymouth boot screen will barf. I may be too stupid to use a decent email client but I'm NOT a stupid person! Now, this is just why I told PhillW and Ali a long time ago that I didn't want to mess much with email lists. It simply uses up too much of what little brain power I have left so I am unsubscribing from the users list. I'll just focus on the forums where I seem to be appreciated and where I find communication to be much easier.
