<div dir="ltr"><div class="gmail_extra">I don't use GUI to update/upgrade my system, I just use the Terminal :) Most of people or some of them at least don't really know what is going on when using an GUI tool for such task. That is why I use the terminal to understand what is going on. I admit I thought you would get a new kernel with that method. I think I will make and install a Live-USB of the 20120423 Lubuntu Desktop and do some more testing since the new kernel is ready. I am going to try all different ways to get that kernel... q;o) Might even use dpkg and install all three necessary debs (all-image-headers) to make sure that still works..
