[lubuntu-users] any way to change start up animation?

Hi guys. The moving dots during startup is a .gif file, correct?

I have created a simple .gif file that I may want to use instead of the
default, just out of curiosity.  Is it possible?

Yes, it's possible. I only change the splash screen, but the animated dots (they are actually in png format) are in the same location.
usr/share/plymouth/themes/lubuntu-logo

Whenever you're done, run:
update-initramfs -u
