Some don't. Most I have tried do. Google, find one that works, buy it.
Or go to a shop with a laptop and try before you buy -- while
supporting local businesses.

One of my companies used to sell them as a standard offering. They're
not that hard to find.

If you know that the device you're ordering has a compatible chip in
it, it should be fine. Or order from someone that specifies Linux
compatibility.

I wouldn't. I have not even had to _try_ that for a decade.

One of my laptops is from 2007, the other from 2008. Both have
built-in wifi which works fine with multiple Linuxes. But you can
still switch it off and try others.
