Hi Kent,

There are the Ubuntu mini.iso files and the Ubuntu Server iso files

http://cdimages.ubuntu.com/netboot/

http://www.ubuntu.com/download/server

You can install any of the Ubuntu family flavours (Kubuntu, Lubuntu, ... 
Xubuntu) from these iso files, and they are within CD size.
