Formatting external hard drive

Hi Wilbert,

You need a GUID partition table, GPT (instead of the classical MSDOS
partition table) to manage drives with more than 2 TB.

I'm not sure if USB 2 can manage more than 2 TB. I know USB 3 and eSATA
can manage it.
