How to kill a bad write process in lubuntu

Hi,
You might try using htop as root.  I have not run into this issue
particularly.
You need to install htop
sudo apt-get install htop
Then launch it from the terminal
sudo htop
then you can find the process and SIGKILL it.
It is probably not the safest practice for USB drives, however they are
very cheap these days.
