In my experience, I have always been installing 15.04 (using a USB drive 
created by unetbooting, on a current 14.04.2 system.

I have (in all cases) been installing 15.04 onto a partition of the 
hard-drive of the target machine, and have always used manual 
partitioning (the "Something Else" choice).
