I tested Lubuntu 14.10 on my (old, slow) Pentium 3 HP-Vectra machine
(450 megahertz, 512 meg RAM).

It successfully installed from the live-desktop installer, with no
problems. I did not have to use the "Install Lubuntu" option given
during boot of the live-DVD.

Most of the testing went well.

Qsynth (FluidSynth) gets under-run errors on this system (which didn't
occur on 14.04). I am investigating the cause.

Also, installing Open Java had an error where it expected the existence
of the (not installed) Java8. That also needs investigation.

Overall, Lubuntu 14.10 performs well, even on very minimal machines.

I also successfully tested the upgrade of my HP-NetBook machine from
Lubuntu 14.04 to 14.10.
