I installed from ppa the lxde/lubuntu-qt package, just to try out. One,
may be theoretical, question here:
Now, i see in /etc/xdg/autostart i've a file Desktop (which practically
is a starter of pcmanfm-qt --desktop --profile=lxde-qt). My question is:
Was there before a similar file gtk related (which propably was
overwritten for name identity during the lxde-qt installation)? Or are
that functions solved be the corrispondent statement in the
/etc/xdg/lubuntu/autostart file (pcmanfm --desktop --profile=lxde)?
Moreover, is my understanding correct, that 'pcmanfm --desktop' is
responsible for the desktop functions of lxde/lubuntu like icons on
dsktop etc. (since openbox itself does not have such functions)? And is
it also responsible for the wallpaper (like in former times it was feh,
or nitrogen)? Or is the wallpaper a thing that relates to lightdm? (1)
Thanks in advance for your patience.
1) I'll turn back on this in another msg, related to my attempts to
strip down furthermore lubuntu on a powerbook ;-)
