Since Lubuntu 12.04 has passed end of life, I suggest that you try some
other light flavours and respins of Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, for example

Xubuntu, Bento, Bodhi, LXLE. See this link (the first and the few last

If you need something even lighter, you can try Knoppix, Puppy, Tiny
Core, DSL ...
