That's what i did: kernel 3.2.0-4 detects the sound card. And it works
even in a 14.04 environment.

The problem is, as far as i understand, that yaboot only keeps 2
kernels. The newest installed, which might be an older one, and the
primary kernel which was used before.

In any case, there exist something like a kernel pool, wherefrom you
could donwload the kernel mentioned above. May be someone here knows the
exact download link.
