Hi Israel,
I received your mail dated 2014-07-27 14:58, now while writing this
mail. I might have solved the bug. Please check it!
I will take a closer look at the other screen dumps too, and try to
improve it to make it more helpful. Do you think I should stop running
that help text once by default? The text you think is for experts only.

I tested in a desktop computer from 2008 with a card reader and got an
error, which I think is similar or the same as yours. It was caused by
two device scans getting out of sync in 'list-drives'. I made a separate
script for it and tested it out, plus included it into mkusb
Please look at it and my output file, which both are attached to this
mail together with mkusb81 (version 8.1).
If you think it is OK to still list such empty card reader devices, I'll
upload this new point version of mkusb with this bug-fix.
