spontaneous closing of applications

Hi,

Thanks for your suggestion. I did the following:

sudo apt-get autoremove
sudo dpkg --configure -a
sudo apt-get -f install
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

and the problem did not return yet.
