wifi in Lubuntu 14.04

Can you run this command in a terminal, and post the output?
lspci | grep Network
this will list your Network devices.
My guess is that you have a broadcom chip and need one of the b43 packages.
sometimes the wrong one gets installed and you have to purge it and
install the other..
