More complex exec commands in desktop files

Only now, i notice that a command which worked like a charm in 13.10
apparently does not anymore in 14.04.

The command is this:

Exec=gksu "lxterminal -T Ceni -e ceni"
---

Which makes part of my "ceni.desktop" file.

Now, strangely, the same command if run from <ALT><F2> works like it
should. Is there any reason why?
