Evince image viewer cannot view PNG

When trying to view a PNG file, Evince chokes:

	Unable to open document "file:///home/lars/Pictures/
	2013-09-20-181032_1680x1050_scrot.png"

	File type PNG image (image/png) is not supported

Has this bug already been reported?  The image view should support PNG,
since it is a common, open format.   It is also the format used by the
built-in screen capture programl, scrot.

Also, is this version of Evince specific to Lubuntu?
