How do you change the user picture on the login screen?

Thank you very much for the information.
I followed your instructions, and now on my sign-in screen, my
star-fleet picture (yes, I'm a trekkie) appears next to my user-ID
rather than a rather crude robot (not that I have anything against
robots - it's just not how I see myself).
