Did you look at the GNOME documentation :
https://developer.gnome.org/accessibility-devel-guide/stable/
I'm sure most of the items are relevant to any GTK applications. I'm
also quite sure we need to enable some GNOME components inside the
Lubuntu session to make accessibility support better.
