Then they picked the wrong ISO.  So the manual, and the GetLubuntu page,
need to help them pick the right one for their hardware.  Which may be
the Alternate image.

Maybe some do ... so let's help them pick the right image first time.

If you can code that, and get your code accepted into Ubuntu, great :)
That's certainly not a feature we agreed to implement for 13.10.

Meanwhile, the solution we can actually implement, is to test the
existing installers and help people pick the right one for their hardware.
