Panda Mini Wifi USB adapter

Hi again & sorry if this is not the appropriate forum for my beginner
questions, but it looks like most of my answers are on the Ubuntu forums.
Askubuntu & archlinux have been of help tho.

Saucy Salamander appears to be much faster than Precise, the last version
of Lubuntu I was running, & uses less RAM too. I was using zRAM on Precise
as well.

So to my question - I cannot get my Panda wireless USB stick to work.

This Panda adapter is supposed to be plug-n-play & from the log it looks
like the chipset is detected, & the driver loaded.
The no i*fupdown* &* unavail due to unmanaged* msgs look a bit
disconcerting.
