The Windows version of Flash player does NOT use sse2.
That is why old AMDs have no problem playing flash under XP.

The NEW Linux versions of Flash player require sse2.
If your hardware does not have sse2, you can just go back
to older versions of Flash player and make sure it is not
getting updated, ever! ( Version: 10.3 r183 works )

Security issues? Academic, because I have had no problem yet.

CPU usage is rather severe, though.
