May I share an advice?
Monitoring the performance/usage with Task Manager is not very useful. Much
better is to use "top" or "htop"

sudo apt-get install htop

Task Manager will never show the SWAP and how much a process may use SWAP ;)
Don't forget, 13.10 has zRAM by default now. So, things, say with 13.04
could be a bit different. From my last testing, 13.10 is faster than 13.04
:)

"top" and "htop" will show you everything. Task Manager won't show you
everything :)

Just an advice/suggestion, if I may offer, of course :)
