Lubuntu alternative sessions script

I've downloaded ZorinOS core 7 to see how they handled sessions but as far
as I know they use composite manager. Here I'm looking for a much light
solution now...

For any moderators: this thread contains messsage s regarding CNC control
under *Ubuntu. Can you split it to a new thread?
