I have this problem also. This is the only reason I switched from 
Lubuntu 13.14 to Xubuntu 12.04LTS. But now I've upgraded to Xub 12.04.3 
the problem has returned. It seems intermittent & unpredictable but is a 
major PITA. I can't supply console output or syslog data. It's just 
anecdotal evidence.
