Hi Nio,
not too sure why you got a virus alert from pcman, but repeated below is
the contents of his email
*I see no problems here.
Both lxde and razor-qt can be used with other window mangers.
Openbox is only the default one.
I asked Openbox developers earlier and there seems to be no plan for
migration to Wayland.
X11 will stay for quite a long time since numerous good pieces
software still depend on it and it not very easy to migrate to
Wayland. The migration involves rewrites of much code, not just
installing yet another display servers. I see no reason to urge the
migration since many other projects are not doing it either.
Wayland itself integrates a compositor and window manager stuff. The
structure is totally different from the existing display servers. A
traditional window manager is not needed for Wayland. So, it's not a
problem.
About Mir, ubuntu is the only supporter and user of it.
It's still too early to consider supporting it.
Currently it provides an X11 compatibility later XMir so old X
programs still run on it, very slowly of course.
Just my 2 cents.
*
Regards,
Phill.
