LXDE, Qt, Openbox and Wayland (and Lubuntu)

In Core Components, I saw this right at the top:

Window managerOpenbox <http://wiki.lxde.org/en/Openbox>We did not develop
our own window manager. Instead, we use Openbox. To support Wayland, we
need to find a new one if we want to migrate to Wayland later.
I love Openbox. I wonder what will take its place. And there's no mention
of Mir. All so cloudy and confusing.
