Well, personally I don't know the history of LXLE.
This is open source/free software. Anyone can respun, create 
spins....etc.
I don't have a problem with the name until this is not confusing the 
people. I would be OK if at the about page[1] the developer making clear 
that this project has nothing to do with Lubuntu Official derivative and 
it's not maintained from Lubuntu developers. The Lubuntu word inside the 
project's name can confuse people. (imho)
