Catfish search result: Fatal error, search was aborted

The errors I get:

When "find" tries to search folders outside the home directory, it 
generates "permission denied" errors.  If I start find as root, the 
search proceeds without error.

And when Catfish tries to search folders outside the home directory, it 
generates "Fatal error, search was aborted" (displayed in the results 
pane). If I start Catfish as root, it proceeds without error.
