Hi,

Lubuntu 12.10, as Lubuntu 12.04, uses LightDM, no LXDM. So to set autologin, you have to modify "/etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf" file, like this :

[SeatDefaults] autologin-user=username autologin-user-timeout=0 user-session=Lubuntu greeter-session=lightdm-gtk-greeter

Replacing username by yours.

On Lubuntu 12.10, I've tried setting autologin in
/etc/xdg/lubuntu/lxdm/lxdm.conf but that seems to be ignored. In which
file should I set autologin in order to skip authentication on boot?

Regards,
/Lars
