Doing a font instaler has the same problem as MacOSX's. You can install but not uninstall, so your system is getting bloated and bloated. Add 10 seconds per 100 fonts, remember that one only font has 4 variants, so 4 truetype files loaded at startup. I think it will be nice having a simple access to the folder ~/.fonts (no need for ../truetype folder access) to see them immediatly and remove them, like the "home" bookmark.
