git.debian.org versus git://lxde.git.sourceforge.net.

Hopefully one of the devs, or the LXpanel maintainer can answer my
question:  If I'm fixing code on LXpanel, what do I need to know about
the git.debian.org repository?
I'm trying to orient myself to this team.
