LTS.CONF seems missing - standard file location?

Both Ubuntu and Edubuntu documentation indicate that LTS.CONF is located 
in /var/lib/tftpboot/ltsp/<arch>, which is commonly 
/var/lib/tftpboot/ltsp/i386.

But on both LTSP servers I have built for testing, there is no LTS.CONF 
there.

Is this expected?
