LXPanel Vol control and ALSA mixer problem

I've done a clean install from the beta 2 ISO and this now works.  The one I found fault with is an update from an early alpha/nightly, so it could be caused by some of my messing about.  I'll see if I can compare config files etc. to see what went wrong.
