Questions for packages managed in git and not lp

Hi,
i was trying to do some translation for lxinput but as it seems lxinput
is not managed with LP

https://translations.launchpad.net/lxinput

apt-get source lxinput is telling me that it is managed by git.

Maybe someone can give me a hint about it if it was just forgotten to
put in on LP or what it is all about with the managed inside git. So i
can do the translation.

Also what about bug reports in packages which are in git. is LP still
the correct source?

Would be great to get some infos about this case.
