And I'm sure you won't find snapd running in any of the other systems.<br>
So there you go. That comes from Ubuntu. We've done everything we can to<br>
minimize its footprint in Lubuntu, but we can't entirely get rid of it.<br>

I am aware of how much faster an SSD is, but I was just reporting the differences to the devel list-serve, and perhaps one of the issues is the "snapd" syndrome . . . but the other question is why a 20.10 system isn't upgrading the kernel beyond 5.4 . . . and so forth.</div><div><br></div><div>Perhaps the ubuntu flavorings have become overly complex??? I had similar issues with my U-MATE install and there I did take your advice to try and replace it with Bullseye . . . and so far I haven't managed to bungle that install like I seem to have done exclusively on my Lubuntu option . . . and similarly the OpenSUSE and Manjaro options I also seem to have not abused???? Only the Lubuntu is my bee-yotch for apt abuse??? : - ))))<br></div></div></div>
