In any case, I will say one thing: Snaps kind of suck, but we also kind<br>
of need them. One of the most difficult things for software developers<br>
is to figure out how to package their software for all the different<br>
distros there are. Snaps are a sort of universal package along with some<br>
other competing ideas (Flatpak and AppImage), so this makes it super<br>
duper easy to just work everywhere. However, like anything, they have<br>
their downfalls. This is one of them. The extra footprint is another.<br>
The sandboxing is weird and often you end up with a huge bloat of<br>
dependencies you don't really want. But they do have their benefits.<br>
