Hi All,

I've come up with a pictorial guide to using lubuntu Linux, for use by
friends to get to know lubuntu better.

The first 7 pages cover general use. The last 7 pages cover handling files
and USB flash drives using the File Manager.

I've uploaded it to
https://sites.google.com/site/ianbruntlett/home/free-software and, at the
bottom of that page you can download it as a LibreOffice document or a PDF.

I am going to get some beginners to look at it and see what they say.

BW,

As far as I remember, LibreOffice isn't included by default, is this a
fresh Lubuntu install?
It is a "used" Lubuntu install. In the document I mention various useful
packages to install - LibreOffice, WiFi Radar, gnome-games etc that might
be interesting.

The guide is being made available as a PDF. This makes it readable on many
systems, including lubuntu.
When I was doing screen shots of applications, Print Screen would save
snapshots of the screen OK. However, if GNOME was doing stuff - e.g.
displaying the Swift menu, Print Screen didn't work. I had to install KGrab
and with it came a whole load of KDE support files (450MB's worth, IIRC).
