A few cycles back, it was proposed that lubuntu indeed have a manual, hence
the wiki team became wiki-docs team. Despite setting up the infrastructure
we never had enough people volunteer (i.e. more than 2) to assist and it
Yes, there is that? I'd like to see the Lubuntu Manual project take off.
With that in mind, I'm also including lubuntu-users in this conversation.

We have had a long-running need for some people to take a very active role
in helping with the wiki and documentation. Many of us who contribute in
other ways help out with this, but no one is really leading the vision, or
is necessarily there to take big bites off of the TODO list (more like
nibbles). We're putting band-aids on when we really need to replace the
whole member.

That being said, if there is anyone out there interested in helping out
with the team, please get in touch. I don't care what experience you've had
or how long you've been a user or how old you are or whatever. What's
needed is motivation and drive, the ability to communicate effectively in
English (that doesn't mean you have to be a native English speaker) and a
tendency towards organization. All other training and/or technical
assistance will be provided.

If there is 1 person or 1000, all help will be appreciated. If you're even
considering this or wondering if you're the right person for the job,
please get in touch.

I encourage you of all, Ian!

Thanks everyone!
Well, the stuff I have created so far still has a few rough edges. I'll get
feedback about it from end users and then get back in touch.
I lied. A last-minute bug found with the bcmwl dkms driver on the
lts-wily kernel led to one more respin. Those should be coming out
shortly for all flavours. This is pretty much guaranteed to be the
last one, as we're about out of time, so please give them at least
light smoketesting to make sure they boot/etc.
